Frequently Asked Questions
What types of businesses do you support?
I specialise in working with medium and large businesses across a variety of industries. Whether you need an extra pair of hands during busy periods, or ongoing support for your teams, I provide flexible admin and project services that slot seamlessly into your existing workflows.
How is a Virtual Assistant different from hiring an employee?
Hiring a full-time employee means recruitment costs, contracts, onboarding, National Insurance, pension, holiday cover and more. With me, you gain the benefits of an additional team member without those commitments. You only pay for the hours you need, and I can be available quickly without lengthy onboarding.
What kind of tasks can you help with?
I support businesses with a wide range of operational, administrative and day-to-day business tasks, helping things run more smoothly behind the scenes.
This can include:
Executive and team support (inbox and diary management, meeting coordination, follow-ups)
Operational support (process management, internal systems, reporting, documentation)
Project coordination (keeping projects moving, stakeholder communication, deadline tracking)
Finance and admin support (invoicing, expenses, data entry, general administration)
Marketing support (newsletters, presentations, website updates, social media scheduling)
Overflow support during busy periods, team growth, or staff absence
Most clients use me as an extra pair of hands within the business: someone reliable who can step in, take ownership of tasks, and help reduce the day-to-day pressure on internal teams.
How do you integrate with our team?
I work as an extension of your team using your existing systems, processes, and communication tools. I’m flexible and can adapt quickly to how you already operate, minimising disruption and maximising efficiency.
Do you work with companies outside of the UK?
Yes. Although I’m UK-based, I work with clients across different time zones. Most tasks can be managed entirely remotely using online tools, and I adapt to your preferred systems and communication methods. If you’re outside the UK, we can figure out the best working hours to ensure smooth collaboration. All contracts, invoicing and payments can be handled digitally, making it straightforward for international businesses to work with me.
Do you work with associate VAs?
At present, I personally handle all client work to ensure a consistent standard of service. However, as my business grows, I am exploring the option of working with trusted associate VAs. This would allow me to offer additional capacity for clients with larger or time-sensitive projects. Any associate I work with will be carefully selected, vetted and bound by the same confidentiality and professional standards I uphold, so you can be confident your business remains in safe hands.
What is your availability?
I currently work with clients on both ad-hoc and retainer bases. Retainers guarantee set hours each month, while ad-hoc gives you flexibility to call on me as and when needed. I’ll always be clear about availability before we agree to any new work so you can plan with confidence.
What are your rates?
My ad-hoc rate is £42 per hour. For ongoing support, I offer retainers at a reduced hourly rate:
10 hours/month — £390 (£39/hr)
20 hours/month — £740 (£37/hr)
30 hours/month — £1,050 (£35/hr)
Custom retainers for 40+ hours/month can be arranged on request.
Can you do less than 10 hours per month?
The short answer is no, the minimum monthly support package is 10 hours.
I’ve found that ongoing support works best when I can properly get to know your business, your systems, and the way you like to work. With fewer than 10 hours a month (which is 2.5 hours a week!), it can be difficult to provide the level of proactive, reliable support that clients usually come to me for.
A minimum retainer also allows me to dedicate proper time and attention to each client, rather than offering rushed or disconnected ad-hoc support. My goal is always to become a trusted extension of your business, not just someone ticking off tasks now and then.
That said, if you have a one-off project or occasional piece of work in mind, feel free to get in touch – if I have availability, I’m always happy to have a chat and see if I can help.
How quickly can you start?
For ad-hoc support, I can often step in within days. Retainer agreements usually start the following month, once scope and hours are agreed.
How do you ensure professionalism and security?
I am approved by the Society of Virtual Assistants, meaning I meet UK industry standards. I am also insured through PolicyBee and operate with strict confidentiality. All client information and systems are handled securely.
Do you work onsite or remotely?
I work remotely, which keeps costs low and allows me to support businesses nationwide. If occasional on-site work is required, this can be discussed.
How do we get started?
Simply book a call with me to discuss your needs. From there, we’ll agree the best package and next steps, and I can be up and running quickly to provide support where you need it most
